Todor Matsanov

Todor Matsanov was born in Velingrad, Bulgaria. Between 1992 and 1994, he completed a course in Theater Directing at the Silvio D'Amico Academy of Dramatic Arts in Rome, Italy, and from 1995 to 2000, he gained a Master's Degree in Film and Television Directing at Bulgarian National Academy for Theater and Film Arts. In the period 1998-2011, as a director and scriptwriter, Todor Matsanov shot many television programs for Bulgarian Televisions. From 2001 to 2011, he also works as First assistant Director in many Bulgarian and International cinema productions. In 2012 "Hristo" project with Grigor Lefterov as a screenwriter and Matsanov as a co-director was ranked first in the feature film category at Bulgarian National Film Center.
