Ross' first documentary short won a Royal Television Society Award in 2012. He went on to win a scholarship to study Documentary Directing at the National Film and Television School, under the mentorships of Sean McAllister and Kim Longinotto. His graduation film Coalville Gold was nominated for Grierson & BIFA awards. Ross won the Channel 4 First Cut Pitch at Sheffield Doc/Fest in 2016. He has developed and directed documentaries for production companies and broadcasters including AMOS Pictures, Passion Pictures, VICE, STV, BBC, and Channel 4, and directed commerical work for brands including 5 Gum, Zurich, Hello Fresh & SoftBank. His documentaries have been recognised at the Sheffield Doc/Fest, Grierson & BIFA Awards. His work in advertising has won over 30 international awards, including 3x Kinsale Sharks, 2x D&AD Pencils and the Shots Award for Branded Entertainment Series of the Year.
