Travis Akbar has been writing creatively ever since he was able to hold a pen and has been a film buff ever since he first watched Jurassic Park. Naturally, this inspired his dream of screenwriting. After spending time learning the about the craft, while also film reviewing for several publishers, Travis began to write his own materials in 2018. Since then Travis has written several of his own Feature and Short Films, as well as developed several television series concepts and is working on several commissioned projects with co-writers and is mentored by Hollywood veteran Steph Lady. Using his experience in business management and marketing, Travis has also been networking with broadcasters, distributors, and financiers to transition into producing in the future. Travis has a passion for exciting genre films but also has experience with adaptations. As a proud Wongutha man, Travis ensures that he represents all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in his works, as well as all other minority voices.
