Raised by a single mother on welfare his entire childhood, Brad Walston had his fair share of challenges early on. He has overcome many life-changing hurdles-being homeless on several occasions, moving from place to place due to eviction notices, and living months in the dark for not being able to pay electricity bills. Brad also had to live with the only pillar of his life, his mother, who suffered from a mental disorder. Throughout his struggles, basketball became his constant companion. He played through his high school years and was able to go to college by playing his beloved sport. With his hustle, Brad Walston became the first in his entire family to graduate from college with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice. He soon received a conditional job offer from the FBI. Unfortunately, the FBI rescinded his offer due to his credit rating. Still, Brad remained relentless in pursuing his goal. Brad Walston never allowed the circumstances to drag his hopes down. He was determined to prove that he was still a qualified applicant; thus, he did everything he could to learn more about credit, credit scores, and mortgages. After spending countless hours learning, Brad started his mortgage business with two friends from high school and began teaching uneducated clients about credit for them to improve their credit ratings and, therefore, positively change their lives. In addition, Brad and his partners focused on educating their clients on how to get approved for a loan. His next venture was opening an Airbnb business. He also became a residential and commercial real estate investor. That was the start of the serial entrepreneur's journey to building his own empire. Later on, he realized that he wanted more than just to help people with their financial well-being. Brad Walston wanted to serve his community in a different way. After successfully building his businesses, he pivoted his focus to become a police officer and work in the community, where he eventually built trust. Later on, Brad worked as a school resource officer to provide mentorship to the youth and volunteered for seven years straight as a boys basketball coach. Now known to many as Officer Walston, Officer Dad, or Coach Brad, the visionary is doing everything in his power to impact and empower as many individuals as he possibly can in a lifetime. With his compelling story of perseverance and hard work, Brad Walston is indeed one of the most inspiring individuals of his time. He overcame and defied many odds to rise to the top, and now he is doing his share of impacting others, mentoring the youth the way he needed to be mentored when he was in their place. Brad aims to encourage people to work hard to reach their dreams and believe that every vision is valid, warranted, and possible. In five years, Brad Walston aims to reach people worldwide, not only in his community. He wants to deliver motivational speeches in many venues across the country and volunteer as a coach in various youth institutions.
