Schuyler Beeman is a triple threat - singer, dancer, actor. He is also a choreographer and director. Born in New Haven, CT, USA he grew up in Guilford, CT, USA with his parents, Mary and Jeff. He attended public school in Guilford, acting in school and community theatre productions. As a theatre major and elementary education minor at Middlebury College '10, he performed in student and faculty directed productions including "Cabaret" (Bobby/Boy Soprano/Gorilla), "After Mrs. Rochester" (various roles), "The Wild Party" by Lippa (Burrs/choreogapher), "Bare: A Pop Opera" (Jason), "Gypsy" (Tulsa), "Reefer Madness" (Jesus), "Sweeney Todd" (Pirelli/Chorus). His first jobs following college graduation were choreographing for regional and community theatre ("Finian's Rainbow," Ivoryton Playhouse, Ivoryton, CT; "Annie," Artful Living, Killingworth, CT). While at Middlebury College he directed "Desdemona: A Play About A Handkerchief". In 2009 he was Assistant Director for "The Winter's Tale Project", The Place, London, UK. He earned his Equity Card with the role of Carmen Ghia in "The Producers," Ivoryton Playhouse for which he was awarded CT BroadwayWorld.com Best Featured Actor in a Musical, 2011. During the summer of 2012, he was resident choreographer for College Light Opera Company in Falmouth, MA, USA on Cape Cod where he set dance numbers and musical staging for 9 musicals in 11 weeks. He has performed his auto-biographical cabaret act at The Duplex, Greenwich Village, New York, NY, USA. There he has also performed with his new cabaret act, Schuyler and the Flies, (Matt Gregory, musical director). He is also an expert horseman and was an All-American Division III Swimmer at Middlebury College, placing top 8 in all of his individual and relay events in 2010 where he set multiple records for Middlebury.
