Ben Richardson is an American actor/director, and occasional writer. He is best known for his work in the independent film scene. Benjamin Daniel Richardson was born September 11, 1989 in Tucson, Arizona. His father, Don Richardson, of Italian descent, is a copper miner. His mother, Rebecca (Ewing), of Irish and other European descent, is a college professor and writer. He has one younger brother, Caleb. Ben has trained with such talent as Matthew Berry (The Notebook, Rush Hour), Cathy Reinking (The Office, Arrested Development), and Chris Freihofer (August: Osage County, Splinter). Ben started his career on the stage in the Oklahoma City theatre scene. He found some local and regional success with roles like Stanley Jerome (Brighton Beach Memoirs), and Conrad Birdie (Bye Bye Birdie). After several years of acting on stage, in 2014 he decided to devote his full attention to the screen. Constantly pushing himself to grow as a filmmaker, person, and as an actor to be "true in imaginary circumstances" he has a true passion and love for the art. As he devotes more time to his craft, he delved into the Meisner technique to try and elevate his performance on screen, and with his fellow peers. He enjoys collaboration, and diving into characters that are nothing like himself, but finding an immersive level of authenticity to portray them. Also recently, Backstage.com hailed his directorial debut, "Repercussion" as one of the top ten best opportunities in the states of Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, and Kansas last year.
