Jenapher Zheng is a Chinese American actor, writer, Twitch game streamer, and artist based in Los Angeles. She is an exuberant personality with an insatiable desire to create. She trained intensively at the CalArts School of Theatre to earn her conservatory degree in acting. Recent film work includes SXSW selected pilot Everyone Together by Lauren Ludwig and indie short Following Jamie (HAAPIFest, DCAPA, Asian World, Silicon Beach Film Festival). She is self-producing a short film Borrowed Light which is in production 2021. Her stage work includes the 2020 production of Man of God by Anna Moench (Geffen Playhouse), the world premiere of Seize the King by Will Power (La Jolla Playhouse), the West Coast premiere of Kentucky by Leah Nanako Winkler (East West Players), The Misanthrope directed by Diane Rodriguez of Center Theatre Group (CalArts), the dance piece Alarm by Physical Plastic (Disney REDCAT), and staged readings of The Great Leap by Lauren Yee (San Diego Old Globe) and Tokyo Fish Story by Kimber Lee (South Coast Repertory). Her work in immersive and interactive theatre includes internationally acclaimed ASMR production Whisperlodge (as featured on NBC, VICE, Rolling Stone), Grandpa Johnson is Dead by Scarlett Kim and Ceaseless Fun, and self-produced Oblivious at the Hollywood Fringe Festival 2016. Internationally, she performed in the world premiere of Fantomas: Revenge of the Image directed by Travis Preston at the Wuzhen International Theatre Festival in Wuzhen, China. Her voiceover work includes a yet-to-be-announced new game by the Sundance featured VR company Tender Claws, the narrative podcast series Life With Leo(h) by Atypical Artists, the mobile AR game Ingress by Niantic, as well as numerous animated shorts by independent artists. She is one-fourth of the host panel on the all Asian-American Twitch podcast PanGeekery, a show for all things geek from an all-diverse perspective. As a writer, she edits for all-female AAPI comic book company Kwento Comics with a new title to be released in 2021. Her work has been featured on HuffPost, Angry Asian Man blog, ItsReal Magazine, and Bruha Stories. She can be seen on Twitch as variety game streamer JenZany.
