Bogdan Fanariu (born Bogdan Petru Finariu, on September 15, 1986, Negresti, Vaslui, Romania) is an actor, director and Romanian teacher. The most important role was his short film Coming Soon in who plays Al. Both his parents were born in Romania, the city Negresti, Vaslui county. His father named Finariu Vasile, working in construction, and his mother, Finariu Maricica worked as an entrepreneur in several professional sectors with a high adaptability, which she past to Bogdan. He has two younger brothers, Finariu Mihai, 27 years old, sculptor and Finariu Roberto, 25, musician and sound engineer. Bogdan attended School no. 11 of Botosani, between 1993 and 2000. The geography class was his favorite, because of the teacher who taught him many things. He enrolled and was admitted to the School of Electronics "Gheorghe Asachi" in Botosani, without any orientation to this field. Here he studied for 3 years, from 2001 to 2004. In the 11th grade, after a difficult time, he decided it was time to make a change in his life and restore a new table of values. He began to go to the library and for 3 months he stayed from morning till night reading. The first book he read was the philosopher Kant Imannuel. After that he went with Russian literature, studying the works of great writers as Dostoevsky (Fyodor Dostoyevsky), Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, Maxim Gorki... In April, after this period of assimilation of knowledge he was really ready to leave everything behind and started to develop a plan to go to Bucharest. His parents went to work abroad and he stayed home with his two younger brothers 15 and 13 years for a short period of time. At age 17, on June 31, 2004, he went to Bucharest to become an actor. After 2 weeks found its first job at a fast food restaurant called Sheriff's, where he prepared salads for a month and a half. His next job was to Avon, where he was assigned to arrange orders in the deposit boxes. It lasted a month. Then for 6 months he earn money from surveys and market research. He resumed, then high school but because he was 18 years old he had to make another 3 years part time at "Cronos"High School and his specialization was in Tourism and catering. He finished in 2008. Before the baccalaureate, Bogdan had a second important moment in his life when he decided to go to London, where he worked on constructions for 3 months. The money earned there helped him to maintain throughout the period of preparation for admission to the Faculty of theater, UNATC. After high school, based on his training under the direction of maestro Victor Rebenciuc, had the exam, but because of emotions he did not pass. He started, then, under the guidance of actress Mihaela Ailincai preparations for admission to the School of Theater, "Spiru Haret" University in Bucharest. He passed and was the on top of the list in the class of teachers and actors Margaret Pogonat and Cristi Toma. After the license at the age of 26, he studied film directing at Bedfordshire University, London. He received a scholarship and studied only a year out of 3 and returned to Romania because he said "there is a huge distance between teachers and students", but it was very beneficial in terms of enriching knowledge of film and manipulation tools. The first step toward acting career started after almost a year living in Bucharest, when he learned from a newspaper that someone is looking for extras in an advertisement. The ad was about the Bolshevik Revolution and was filmed at the Romanian Athenaeum, and his role was to handle a flag. Then followed another 6 months of projects in which he was an extra but that experience helped him to play on the big stage of the National Theater Bucharest, along great actors like Victor Rebenciuc, Maya Morgenstain, Vlad Ivanov, Cecilia Barbora and Costel Constantin. A special relationship he had with Victor Rebenciuc, which helped a lot and prepared him for admission to UNATC. The first two poems that Bogdan studied under his leadership were "Scara" by George Cosbuc and "Un Duel" by George Topârceanu. Also in the National Theater Bucharest, throughout the last year of high school (2007-2008), was part of the team of Dan Puric, where he taught at his school pantomime and studied ballet and tap. His first step shoes were received from Dan Puric. With the experience gained here for 5 years he went every summer at the seaside and interpreted living statues. In the Department of Theater at the University Spiru Haret, played "Hamlet, Prince of Denmark", as Hamlet, "O scrisoare pierduta " played Nae Catavencu and "Arlecchino", where the had the leading role. In 2012 he starred in the short film Coming soon, directed by Jamil Hendi, where he played Al, the main character. After a year in 2013 played Antonel Scarlat in the short film of the same name, directed by Jamil Hendi. Also in 2013 he starred in I Love Caragiale and play with Liviu Andrei Vasilescu and Cristi Toma. Another area of acting in which he is working, is at special events in which plays different roles, such as Charlie Chaplin, Godfather, Harry Potter, pirate Jack, Peter Pan, Tin Man, Professor of fun etc. He played over 500 characters. Bogdan Fanariu teaches children from Olga Gudynn International School of Bucharest acting lessons and is very happy with what he does, considering children a professional reference. In 2015, Bogdan filming the series "Men for rent", where he is an actor and the director. People who greatly helped him in his Life time career are Daniel Life time, teachers and actors Cristi Toma (helped him to find his personality) and actor Vasile Calofir and Pogonat Margaret, with whom he worked for 4 years and directed him in the entertainment world . His grandmother taught him not to do what he does not like, from his parents to be hardworking and serious and from the great actor Dem Radulescu he remembers one thing that directed his career: "Ever if you do something stupid, you have to like do it on stage. " His motto in life is: "Love and do what ever you want, but you have to love something."
