Pallavi Sharma is an Indian-Australian actress born in Dehradun, India. Growing up in Aurangabad, she quickly discovered a passion for the performing arts, training in Indian Traditional Dance and later Sitar. However soon her medical training pulled her focus as she ultimately moved to New Delhi to become a General Practitioner/Family Doctor with a diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Since her move to Australia in 1995, she built a loyal following as a popular General Practitioner/Cosmetic Physician in Melbourne. Her reintroduction to the arts came when Dreamz Productions approached her for an acting role in "Pareshaan Parinda" (2018). It was a new opportunity with old ties - Producer Dr Rachel Singh from Dreamz production was a medical colleague of Pallavi Sharma from their time working in IIT Delhi Hospital. Her casting was an obvious fit - the role of Maya Devi in Pareshaan Parinda is that of an ambitious Indian expat woman who had built a successful life in Australia. Drawing on inspiration from her own experiences guided her experience in her feature-film debut.
