Maria Mahou

Maria Mahou was born in Athens, Greece. She studied: Theatre, at ''Archi'' Drama School of Athens (BA in Acting) Music, at various Conservatories [Diploma in Opera singing (soprano), Classical Guitar, Contemporary singing, Music Theory (Harmony, Counterpoint)] Photography, at the Technological Educational Institute (TEI) of Athens, (BA in Photography and Audiovisual Arts) Lighting Design (MA in Lighting Design-Multimedia at Hellenic Open University) She speaks English, French and Italian She participated in several theatrical performances, mainly as an actress, but also as a musician, an assistant director, a photographer and a lighting designer. Her professional debut in theatre was in 2002, when she participated both as an actress and an assistant director at Luigi Pirandello's ''Six Characters in Search of an Author'', directed by Dimitris Mavrikios, at the National Greek Theatre. After that, she collaborated in numerous theatrical plays: Euripides: ''Medea'', D. Byzantios: ''Babylonia'', Sophocles: ''Antigoni'', G. Ritsos: ''Oreste and Phaedra'' and ''The Fishing Net'', L. Pirandello: ''So it is (if you think so)'', E. Fakinou: ''The Seventh Garment'', A. Papadiamantis: ''Women Figures'', T. Verikiou: ''Yes, Mr. Zambeta'' e.t.c., with various directors (Anatoli Vassiliev, Giannis Mortzos, Lakis Karalis, Maria Franghi, Thod Espiritou, C. Tsangas, N. Donga, e.t.c.), in several theaters (Ancient Theatre of Epidavros, Herod Atticus Odeon, Meli Theatre, Vafeion Theatre, Regional Theatre of Patras, Kykladon Street Theatre, e.t.c.). Besides theatre, she has participated in various T.V. series: ''For ever children'', Epsilon t.v. , by Vassilis Kechagias, ''Life Again'' ALPHA t.v., by Antoniou-Moisidis, ''7 Deadly Mother in Laws'' MEGA Channel, by Grigoris Petriniotis, ''Stories from the Other Side'' , ANT1 t.v., by Aris Bafaloukas, ''All Hard in Marriage'' , ANT1 t.v., by Andreas Morfonios, ''The Youth's Press in The resistance'' ET1, by G. Zervoulakos, e.t.c, and also in Movie Films: ''A Green Story'' by Nika Agiashvily, ''Summer in Greece'' by G. Papavasiliou, ''Brides'' by P. Voulgaris e.t.c. In the music area, she has participated in numerous concerts both as a classical guitarist and a singing soloist, (classical and contemporary). Her singing repertoire covers five centuries, from baroque music and classic operas to jazz, musical and contemporary songs in 7 different languages.
