Elaine Thrash, a.k.a. Elaine Thrash Oliveira is a Brazilian actress, singer, dancer, writer, and model based in Vancouver, Canada. Elaine is known for her outstanding performances in films such as Dead Martha (originally in Portuguese: Marta Morta), Vermibus, Prime Time or Feast for Vultures (also in Portuguese: Horário Nobre ou Banquete para Urubus) for which she was awarded as best actress at II Guaru Fantastico Film Festival, among other projects. Elaine has been acting in several independent short and feature films since 2007, and a large number of plays since her childhood. She also likes to incorporate her skills as a dancer and singer in almost every project she is in. Elaine has been a front-woman in some underground Heavy Metal bands back in Brazil and also her solo project The Path. From 2006 to 2009, Elaine hosted a Web TV show called Metalsplash where she conducted interviews with bands and musicians. As a writer, Elaine is the author of the books From Depression to Creation and How to Be a Good Husband (both in Portuguese: Da Depressão à Criação and Como Ser um Bom Marido), as well as some short films and video-poems, such as Thank You, Disappearing, Coffee, and Ocean. Elaine moved to Canada in 2018 to start a new life and make great connections in the film industry. She attended the Creative Writing program at Langara College and then switched to Film Arts, where she received a certificate in the Acting stream and earned a place on the Dean's Honor Roll as a result of her hard work during her studies.
