Arjo Atayde

Arjo Atayde is a multi-awarded Filipino film and television actor best known for his starring role as Benjo in the action-thriller digital series Bagman (2019), for which he won Best Actor In a Leading Role at the 2020 Asian Academy Creative Awards (AACA) - the only Filipino artist to date to ever receive the recognition. His first foray into the spotlight was for Ang TV (1992) when he was only nine years old. This jump-started an illustrious and prolific career in show business. Atayde is a versatile actor who has appeared in over 20 top-rating television drama series on ABS-CBN, his home network in the Philippines. His body of work ranges from some of ABS-CBN's top-rating prime-time TV series such as Ang probinsyano (2015) and The General's Daughter (2019); to critically acclaimed independent films that would land him international acclaim - the most notable among these is his role as Biggie Chen on BuyBust (2018). In 2021, Atayde was announced to top-bill the upcoming crime-thriller series Cattleya Killer (2022), directed by award-winning filmmaker Dan Villegas, and produced by the Philippine co-producers of Almost Paradise (2020) Season 1, the first U.S. TV series entirely shot in the Philippines.
