Melina Curi is a film director and producer based in Los Angeles, CA. Originally from Florianópolis-Brazil, she pursued college degree in Communications, Film & Video (2004-2008), and also studied Scene Directing, in Cuba, and MA in Experimental Film, in London. Melina has directed international award-winning short films, such as Blueberry Cupcakes (2016), Seashells Samba (2015), Destina-se (2010), and has built an international reputation as an engaging director and creative producer abroad Brazil, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and the United States. Melina Curi is also known for her role on establishing one of the most democratic and important film festivals and markets for children in the South of Brazil, the Florianópolis Children's Film Festival. She was married to the screenwriter Andrei Anson (2016-2020), son of Jay Anson, New York's best seller writer, known for his book The Amityville Horror (1979), which became one of the most successful Independent Horror Movie Franchising of all time.
