A multi-disciplined artist working in film, television and video games, William Hawk Edwards (Will) has always loved telling stories. Born in Madison, WI, Will began his love of art taking up drawing at the age of five, developing his skills by emulating his favorite comic book artists. His father's career as an antique picker/dealer allowed unprecedented access to some of Wisconsin's most unique and talented artists, including the amazing Tom Every, creator of "The Forevertron" (in his guise as Dr. Everemore), and Alex Jordan, creator of "The House on the Rock". Influenced by these artists, Will's interests diversified into sculpting, painting, acting and ultimately film making. At age 12, he made his first film, and by the end of high school he had completed a large number of sci-fi and fantasy amateur films. Along the way, his skills grew to include, cinematography, lighting, costuming, effects makeup, set design and model building. Will's career followed a varied and interesting path leading him into freelance illustration, commercial and industrial film production, acting, makeup effects and video games. Yet, at the heart of this diversity is the ongoing goal of sharing with the audience a vision that is thought provoking, artistically engaging, and inspiring. As a filmmaker, Will has contributed to numerous award-winning projects both in front of and behind the camera. Clients have included: S.C. Johnson Wax, Mitsubishi, Miller Brewing Company, Fiskars, Graftobian Makeup Company, and Pegasus Games, to name a few. His video game credits include: serving as the Assets Manager for X-Men: Legends, X-Men: Legends II - Rise of Apocalypse, Marvel Ultimate Alliance and Wolfenstein, while employed at Raven Software in Madison. Later, moving to Houston, TX, Will became Art Director for Pi Studios working on such titles as: Rock Band, Call of Duty, Mercenaries 2, and others. A big believer in Wisconsin's potential as a host for the film and media industries, William continues to develop various projects in Wisconsin and was one of the founding members of Film Wisconsin.
