Carol Zoccoli is a Brazilian comedian who currently lives in New York. She's been performing in English for 10 years and has been invited to the biggest comedy festivals in North America: Netflix is a Joke Fest in Los Angeles; NBC Breakout Festival (TV NBC) in Chicago; she was in the opening of New York Comedy Festival; Just For Laughs 42 in Toronto; Halifax Festival and Winnipeg Festival in Canada - which were filmed and broadcast by the main channel in Canadian TV, CBC. She won an award for her role in the comedy scene in Toronto, the Tim Sims Encouragement Award in 2015, promoted by the city's Department of Culture. The award is given to promising comedians. She performed with the renowned comedy theater The Second City, where she taught improv lessons. Carol does standup and improv in Portuguese when in Brazil, and in English, when she performs in other countries. She has more than 13 stand-up performances on TV: more than 10 in every channel in Brazil (literally) and 3 in Canadian channels. In 2009, she was a finalist in the contest CQC's Eighth Member on Band network. In 2010, she was a writer in É Tudo Improviso on Band. She was part of the Brazilian Saturday Night Live on RedeTV. In 2017, she recorded a documentary for Comedy Central about her experience in comedy outside Brazil. Carol is a panelist in the Comedy Central show A Culpa é da Carlota. And she is on the Netflix special Lugar de Mulher.
