Ed Sole, a native of Denver, Colorado, made his television acting debut on VH1's "Single Ladies" in spring 2012. For Ed, this acting opportunity was the fulfillment of a longtime dream. Before his television debut, Ed modeled locally and nationally for print ads and on the runway; he also has starred in commercials such as for Under Armour & Dick's Sporting Goods "Own the Cold" commercial series. In college, Ed studied Social and Human Services, with a concentration in High Risk Youth from the Metropolitan State University of Denver, where he graduated with honors. While contemplating graduate work in this same field, Ed decided to move to Atlanta, Georgia, where he could further explore his interest in acting and modeling while also stepping further into his work with youth from diverse and troubled backgrounds. As an actor, Ed is compelled by thoughtful, nuanced characters who have depth. He firmly believes in the power of stories--as healing, troubling, and evocative. He also believes that characters are complex, so any character he takes on is always many stories converging on a single character. He finds a similar reality in his work in Social and Human Services. Above all, Ed aspires to a life of constructing, deconstructing, embodying and sharing stories, all as a means of contributing to the health of our society.
