Best known for his work with rock band Fearless Vampire Killers, Lee Keable has been making short fiction films and documentaries for a number of years as an independent filmmaker. He is known to be an advocate of crowd-funding as a means to finance projects, and did so himself for the documentary Fearless Vampire Killers: At War with the Thirst (2013). Lee never had any interest in film until he signed on to do a film degree in Cambridge, citing the reason that it would bring together his passions for art and music. Blazing through and gathering himself a first class degree, he went on to spend a year commuting back and forth to Scotland in order to make a documentary with long-time collaborator Fionn Pooler. Lee eventually continued on to a Masters degree, opting for the directing course at the world-renowned Media School at Bournemouth University. Here work began on the documentary Fearless Vampire Killers: At War with the Thirst (2013).
