J.D. Ramsey hometown Melbourne Florida worked with Time Warner Cable video production from 1993-1997 as a volunteer camera operator on local talk shows growing up. He graduated from Melbourne High School in 1997 and attended Florida Metropolitan University film school and graduated in 1999. J.D. Ramsey started film school one week after high school graduation. While in film school J.D. Ramsey graduated with more than eight short digital video projects made during the 2 year school film/video program. After graduating in 1999 J.D. got with friends and continued to produce short movies until the mid 2000 under the name Down South Productions. Then J.D. Ramsey move to Tallahassee Florida in 2000 and started Southern Vision Entertainment a movie making company in 2004. In 2008 JD produced his first independent short films starting with the "Drama" web series and he has been producing short films every year since. In 2014 J.D. sat out to make three shorts films over the three month summer period. The films were web series "Drama Episode 4, and short films "The Briefcase" & "Women & Attitude". In 2015 J.D. Ramsey completed "I Should Have Learned" and also worked on a collaboration projects called "Unlock"(2015) & "The Bus Stop"(2016). Also Slabs short film was shot in 2017. J.D. continues to produce, write & direct films, he just finished his latest short film "Lookin4Love" and is working on his newly shot project "Ain't My Fault". J.D. Ramsey is a producer, writer, director and editor, known for "A Mind Of A 14 Year Old"(2011), "Lost It All"(2012), "Finder's Keeper's"(2014), "The Briefcase" (2015), "Women & Attitude"(2015), "I Should Have Learned"(2015), "Trippin"(2017), & "Slabs(2018)", "Ms. Potato Head(2018)", Lookin4Love(2020) & Ain't My Fault(2020).
