Quincy Evans Okechukwu Ndekwe was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is the second of four children. His mother, Debra, is a secretary from Minnesota and his father, Fintan, is a pharmacist from Nigeria. Upon high school graduation he attended Rochester Community College with the intent to pursue a career in Physical Therapy. While attending college he took a theater class and was pushed into auditioning for a role in an upcoming production. He was offered a role but denied it to keep his focus on his studies. However, the theater teacher saw his potential and encouraged him to give acting more thought. So he did and a few months later he booked his first on-stage role which launched his acting career. During his first show run, he was approached and asked to audition as a young soldier in the play "Last of the Boys" by Steven Dietz at the Rochester repertory theatre downtown, which he also booked. His first paid acting experience immediately followed, performing as a lead in a play entitled "RACE- to the finish" touching upon social inequality of race to this day. With a new outlook on acting, he sought out agencies in his hometown and immediately began booking commercials. Upon graduating with his Liberal Arts and Science degree and quite a few successes as an actor, he felt he was ready for the next level and moved to LA. He has since worked on many productions including Rosewood (2015) starring Morris Chestnut, Kessi Blue (2016) which took home the award for "Best Drama" at the Pasadena Film Festival, and Upstairs(2013) with Award winning director Montana Mann.
