Grant Steckbeck is a student at Ball State University going for his B.S. in Theatre Education set to graduate in 2013. The son of Thomas and Peggy Steckbeck, Grant has been involved with both theatre and film since attending Franklin Central High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. Grant's acting credits include, among others: Lt. Caddigan in Girl Crazy, Mr. Darling in Peter Pan, Uncle Henry in The Wizard of Oz, Det. Blore in Ten Little Indians, Det. "Just the Facts" Jack in Indiana Proud, S/Sgt. "Froggy" LeSueur in The Foreigner, Simeon in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Trenchcoat Man in Tommy Has a Crush, and Carl in the Ball State Summer Film; Nerdvana. Grant has also directed or assistant directed numerous film and stage productions over the years, some of his favorites being: The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, The Drunk Detective (film), and Sonny Deree's Life Flashes Before His Eyes. Grant has been doing fight choreography and stunt work for more than 8 years on over 25 different theatrical and film productions. Grant has been a T.A. for the B.F.A. Stage Combat course, and sets up and co-runs the Bi-Annual Theatre Education Combat Workshop with Ball State University's Theatre Department. Grant is a current member of The Society of American Fight Directors; teaching numerous stage combat workshops at different colleges and high schools throughout Indiana as well as at Journeys Theatre Camp during the summer. Along with teaching stage combat workshops at Journeys Theatre Camp, Grant is one of the original staff members; having worked as the camp counselor for the high school aged kids in the camp since the camp's inception in the summer of 2010.
