Occasionally quoted in the Los Angeles Daily News, David Krouse is a seasoned Multimedia Producer based in Denver, Colorado. With a diverse background in the film industry, David has worked with The Valley Film Festival, DTLA Film Festival, Laemmle Theaters, the American Cinematheque, Cinelounge on Sunset, TCL Chinese Theatre, the Los Angeles Mayors Citywide Taskforce on Film and Television, and the Denver Film Festival. Some of David's career highlights include co-producing The Valley Film Festival (VFF17, VFF18), securing the backend sponsor for the DTLA Film Festival (DTLA 2016, 2017), working as staff at Laemmle Theatres during the Israel Film Festival, Los Angeles International Shorts Film Festival, and Polish Film Festival (among others), managing the Los Angeles theatrical opening of Nicolas Cage comeback movie Mandy (2018) at Cinelounge, and working on the American Cinematheque's 60th Anniversary Screening of Vertigo (1958) with Kim Novak. David also has an appreciation for South African actress Alice Krige, and deeply admires French-Actress Isabelle Huppert due to her dynamic performances relentless dedication to the art-form as seen in Elle (2016), Things to Come (2016), Louder Than Bombs (2015), Greta (2018), and Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris (2022) Born in Grand Junction, Colorado, David is the second oldest of five siblings and spent his boyhood years in North West Ohio, North East Indiana. His maternal grandfather served in the 10th Mountain Division Radio Signal Core during World War II partaking in the liberation of Italy, afterwards working at KFXJ Radio (now KREX), the Atomic Energy Commission and the FAA building the radio repeater system across the Rocky Mountains, and established amongst the first College Radio Stations and Training Facilities in the United States at Mesa State Community College (now Colorado Mesa University) in Grand Junction, Colorado. At age 14, his interest in acting was piqued when he read internet rumors of then undeveloped Indiana Jones IV, featuring a plot-line of Dr. Jones having a son (the role was later played by Shia LaBeouf Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008) ). He participated in Youth Theatre Workshops and amateur productions at the Huber Opera House and Civic Center that were broadcast on the local HIX-TV channel. Inspired by Tom Laughlin and Nia Vardalos acting centered Independent Film Careers he studied movies with the aid of BlueRay Director's Commentary and practiced writing screenplays. Additionally, at 16-years-old he achieved a brown belt in Tae Kwon Do, participated in local demonstrations of board breaking and was on track to earning a black-belt before his dojo closed unexpectedly. Impressed by his academic prowess, department chairs invited him to take upper division junior-level coursework in History, Humanities, and Physical Education. Here he took his first film courses including an upper-division class in film analysis. Following his freshman year, David transferred to Santa Monica College to pursue an acting career. During this time, he was invited to join the Advanced Radio Production Workshop and became part of the first crew to shoot at CityTV Santa Monica Channel 16's new Television Studio. He also studied Sports Psychology and Sports Broadcasting. During the next several years, David continued to enhance his skills by taking various media classes; excelling in Adobe After Effects (which he was allowed to take with instructor permission despite lacking prerequisites introductory classes) and expanded his knowledge base with a course on 'The History of Animation'. He also gained valuable hands-on production experience as a crew member on the international horror feature film Mermaid Down (2019). The film successfully raised an impressive IndieGogo production budget of $100,000 and went on to achieve a noteworthy theatrical release, grossing an impressive $116,466 in the Vietnam market before Covid-19 closure's. Following its theatrical run, the film was made available to a wider audience through popular streaming platforms such as Tubi, Amazon Prime, and Apple TV. In addition to his work in the film industry, David has also made significant contributions to various small business enterprises by developing their digital infrastructures.
