Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, Angelo Thomas is an emerging writer, director, producer, and editor. He holds a B.F.A. in Film & Video from Columbus College of Art & Design, where he graduated with the honors of Outstanding Senior and the Commitment to Service Award. His senior thesis film, "The Incredible Jake Parker," is the first feature film made by a student at the college in over 30 years. Angelo wrote, directed, and produced the $50,000 film, based on his book of the same name and real-life experience battling an eating disorder. The film was awarded Best Breakout Feature at the Louisiana LGBT+ Film Festival and is an Official Selection of the Awareness Film Festival and the New York Movie Awards. Angelo is in post-production on "DeRosa," a feature-length documentary about a transgender woman's lifelong journey towards self-acceptance.
