Krystal Dawn was the recipient of the USC merit scholarship and chosen as USC's 2021 Thesis film director. After arriving to the west coast by way of Michigan, she made waves with her unique storytelling style and fresh small-town perspective, scoring in the top 20% of Academy Nicholl Fellowship for her full-length screenplay "Bill Landaus". She was also a finalist in OCCentric Playwrights Competition and winner of Fullerton College Playwriting Festival for the one act play version of "Bill Landaus". Other accolades include her Academy Nicholl's high scoring screenplay "? Maybe", her Academy Nicholls top 21% scoring screenplay "Ivory Tower '' and her writing on Big Indie Pitch winner and Unity Grant recipient "Our America'' (a Narrative VR experience for Oculus).
