Brendee Green is a Canadian actor, writer, singer, and director. She was born in Toronto, Ontario. Brendee is one of five children and is of Polish-Jewish and British descent. Brendee began expressing her interest in acting from the time she could speak, but did not have the opportunity to really dig into training until her teenage years, where she attended Westmount Collegiate High School and began her training in theatre under the tutelage of thespian Andrew Dolha. Brendee completed her formal Theatre training at York University. At the end of her second year her mother passed away, and following having a brain aneurysm and undergoing subsequent brain surgery in 2011, Brendee decided to take some time off of school. It was in the days following her release from the hospital that Brendee auditioned for the recurring role of Denise Rookie Blue, thus landing her first speaking role in film and television at a time of significant personal transitions. This solidified Brendee's determination and passion for her career, and she returned to York to complete her undergraduate degree in theatre the following year, before going on to continue training and performing in film and television. Her love of travel has taken her across the world, and she has lived and worked in film and theatre in Toronto, Vancouver, and London, England. A passionate storyteller and creator, Brendee's artistic exploration spans various artistic modalities. From painting and refinishing furniture, to playing guitar and songwriting, Brendee is always creating. Her curiosity and artistic drive have led her to pursue continued training in Jazz Vocals, Musical Theatre, and dance. She has a deep love of Shakespeare, and some of her favourite theatre roles to date include Portia (Julius Caesar) and Rosalind (As You Like It). Notable recent roles include Geena Fellers in Deadly Ex Next Door and Julia Day in Mr. Pawsitively Perfect.
