Sylvie is a Canadian actress, living in the city of Toronto, Ontario. Sylvie has appeared in numerous tv commercials, music videos, tv episodes and short films. A natural born performer, she has participated in artistic and musical pursuits ever since early childhood. At her grand-father's request (and to honour his legacy as a violin maker), her parents enrolled her in violin lessons at the age of 4. Though she didn't stick with violin for long, she was very musically inclined, and went on to learn the piano from the age of 6. She expressed a great love for movement as well, and her parents enrolled her in ballet classes at the age of 7. She was completely captivated by the style of dance after watching her best friend perform on stage with L'École de Danse Classique in Winnipeg. Her dance technique grew stronger, and her love grew deeper over the years. She danced the starring role of Cinderella in her final pre-professional performance. She was then asked to audition for the prestigious professional dance training program at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet. Once accepted, she dedicated 4 years to the rigorous multi-disciplinary dance program. She performed in multiple professional productions, received scholarships and bursaries and also got her start in her very first tv commercial. She cherishes the 4 years she experienced, but was sad to learn that the program didn't see a future for her beyond that point. With a heavy heart, she took a small break from dance and completed her High School education and subsequently enrolled in the nutrition program at the University of Manitoba. With a strong remaining love for dance, she decided to take recreational dance classes at her original dance school, while attending her University classes. She got the courage to try once more, and auditioned and was accepted to the School of Contemporary Dancers for one year. But, after careful thought and deliberation, Sylvie had to choose between academic studies and dance. She decided to leave the world of dance to focus on her nutrition degree. Never being satisfied with only academic pursuits, in 2000, Sylvie made the giant leap to move to Toronto. She took one year away from academic studies to explore her new city and find her way back to the performing arts, and to join the world of acting! She took some acting classes, and finished her nutrition degree, and put all things performing arts on hold for a bit. Life took many twists and turns, and it wasn't until 2010, after living in Costa Rica, and having her baby girl where she decided to explore acting once more. Always learning and growing, she keeps studying and exploring new ways to express her creativity on and off the screen. Sylvie found agency representation in 2011 and has been active ever since. She aspires to a blossoming career, including credits in feature films and network tv shows.
