James Cripps

James Cripps is an award-winning screenwriter and producer for TV, film and online content. Previously Screentime's Drama Development Coordinator, James has been involved in the development and production of shows such as Wolf Creek (2016) Seasons 1 & 2 (for Stan), Pine Gap (2018) (for Netflix) and Underbelly Files: Chopper (2018) (for Nine Network). He has been script editor on Informer 3838 (2020) (for Nine Network) and Janet King (2014) Season 3 (for ABC). His multi-award winning web series Blind (2019) that he created, wrote and produced was acquired as an OzFlix Original for VOD platform OzFlix, as well as Flixxo, Twisted Mirror TV and SeekaTV. In 2018, James received a Best Writing award at Baltimore Next Media Web Fest for his work on Blind (2019). In 2019, two of his web series pilot scripts won awards at Copenhagen Web Fest and DC Web Fest, as well as placing as finalist in London Short Series Festival, Miami Web Fest, Baltimore Next Media Web Fest, Filmmatic Short Screenplay Awards, and making it to the second round of the Austin Film Festival, placing him in the top 20% of all entrants. His TV pilot script 'Somnus' was a semi-finalist in the Finish Line Script Competition.
