Scott Pawela was born in Lake County, Illinois - a northern suburb of Chicago. Shortly after high school Pawela began performing in plays at a local community theatre and taking acting classes at Act One Studios in downtown Chicago. Driven by his desire to deepen his knowledge of the craft and be surrounded by other young artists, Pawela was then accepted into Northern Illinois University's School of Theatre and Dance in Dekalb. During his four years at NIU, Pawela performed in numerous stage plays including "Twelfth Night" by William Shakespeare, and the lead role in "Ancient History" by David Ives among others. During the fall semester of his junior year he had the opportunity to travel overseas to study at the renowned Moscow Art Theatre. His most memorable experience of his semester in Russia was performing as Lopakhin in Chekov's "The Cherry Orchard." After graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Northern Illinois University, Pawela moved to Los Angeles. Pawela continues to strategically build his resume in Film and Television as well as in commercials.
