Jeremiah Johnson

Jeremiah Johnson was born in Ft. Thomas, KY to parents John and Dianna Johnson. Growing up in Bellevue, KY, Jeremiah became enamored with acting watching James Bond films and Monty Python episodes. He started staging small skits of his own with brother Danny around the age of twelve. Jeremiah broadened his horizons during his time in high school, where he played music in various bands, participated in sports, and performed in an improvisational acting group, Destination Imagination. Jeremiah pursued education at the Audio Engineering School in Lexington, KY, graduating in the summer of 2009 after studying Music Theory, Music Production, Music Law, and Audio Engineering. To keep with family tradition, Jeremiah enlisted in the U.S. Army. Upon his completion of basic training, he got involved in short film work with Northern Kentucky University students Justin Mendell and Ryan Hayes. Mendell introduced Hayes to Jeremiah when he involved the two in an independent project he was filming, a collection of random comedic skits and improvisation. Hayes would cast him in three productions of his own: the black and white short film, The Salesman; the horror-themed short, The Choice, which was entered into competition at the College Movie Festival in the Cincinnati area; and the comedic mockumentary, MAN-tervention. Jeremiah's involvement with Hayes' productions garnered the attention of other NKU film students. Then-student Mike Hon, owner of AcidVision Entertainment, LLC, would involve Jeremiah in a short project executive produced by Live Big TV. Titled Zombie Olympics, Jeremiah was cast in a prominent role as a zombie. It was during this shoot that he was introduced to Carrie-Ellen Zappa, owner of Zappa Studios, who would sign him to a contract as an acting talent a week later. Through Zappa Studios, Jeremiah has begun to see himself cast within larger-scale productions. He has acted in the Mark Turner production, Wise Guys?, and participated in various other shorts for Live Big TV. He was an extra on the film The Song, and has just finished work as an extra on the film 50 to 1. In addition to acting, he has been trying his hand at other film-related endeavors, including screenwriting. He is currently developing a project alongside director, writer, actor, and friend Hayes, and has been providing input into Hayes' own project, Out Of The Ashes.
