Mikayla was born and raised in Beverly, Massachusetts, where she grew up writing short plays and choreographing dances for the neighborhood kids to perform for their families. When she was 5, her mother signed her up for a children's theatre camp at North Shore Music Theatre, and she was immediately hooked. She continued to do workshops and camps with NSMT, as well as perform with several community theaters. Mikayla now attends Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts, studying for a B.A. Theatre Education: Concentration in Acting. She has been working locally, performing in plays and films. She continues to audition for larger productions outside of the Boston community. Mikayla says about her role as a performer and artist: "I strive to make people happy, and I believe art of any form is a way to bring about joy. Art is a break from reality, the stress of daily life, an opportunity to look at something beautiful and to deeply think about it. Without art, conversations would not be sparked, change would not occur. Artists help bring change in the world, we help make the world a brighter place, whether it's through painting a landscape or telling a story through a character."
