Russ Ptacek

Russ Ptacek is an American journalist, film maker, investigative reporter and business person. Ptacek is most recognized as investigative reporter for USA Today Network, Gannett National Investigations, WUSA - Washington, D.C., KSHB - Kansas City, and WIBW, Topeka. As President and owner of VNI Television, Ptacek has traveled to more than 40 countries and focused his lense on stories that advocate change for the powerless. Ptacek also founded NewsTV Corporation, (which he sold in 2001) to provide field producers, photographers and camera rentals to US network and international news organizations. Ptacek is an active member of Investigative Reporters and Editors, National Press Cluib and National Press Photographers Association.
