Actor and Singer Jonathan Lessani, (aka Jonny) was born October 20th 1986 in Glasgow Scotland, to an Iranian father and English mother. Acting played a big part of his childhood having performed as part of Amateur Dramatic groups from the age of 8. Jonny grew up performing on stage in many musicals from a young age right through from elementary to high school, when he chose to further his studies reading a BA(Hons) in Performing Arts in England. He gradually made the transition from stage to acting for camera, furthering his studies at both The New York Film Academy (NYFA) and The Sandford Meisner Centre in Los Angeles. This cemented Jonny's true love and passion for acting and after his training in the US, Jonny returned to London where he pursued his career in independent feature films, shorts and commercials. After missing out to Diego Boneta in the Spring of 2011 for the lead role of Drew Boley - the aspiring rocker and talented singer/guitarist * in Tom Cruise's 'Rock of Ages', Jonny looked to the British Indy scene for his next job. This period included a 3 month secondment to Dubai, The United Arab Emirates to re-gain his fluency in Farsi (due to his paternal heritage) for a forthcoming movie role by a Persian Director. Subsequently, the project was indefinitely delayed due to financing. Most recently, Jonny appeared in 'Elemental Fear' directed by Alan de Pellette and following that, secured the part of Joe, the Assistant in Helier Bissell-Thomas's movie 'Kaufman's Game' (2013). Jonny's favourite sports are Ice Hockey, Martial Arts and Rollerblading.
