Alex Hudgens

Alex is best known for reaching national television status as an Emmy-nominated multimedia journalist for NBC's premiere entertainment news program, Access Hollywood. She has since become the Founder/CEO of her own production company, HybridHouse Productions, as well as her transformational coaching + conscious consumerism platform, spurr. Through spurr, Alex works with one-on-one and group coaching clients, leads workshops, and offers online courses. Alex is also a public speaker, actor, and upcoming author. As an actor, Alex graduated from the nation's premiere Meisner method school, The Baron Brown Studio in Los Angeles. She also trained in the Vanderbilt University theater program and has been involved in a number of short films, television series, and commercial work. In addition to regularly appearing on Access Hollywood and Access Hollywood Live, Alex served a diverse audience of more than 2 million followers across all Access Hollywood social media platforms-- writing, producing, and reporting on camera. After working as a production assistant at KSDK NewsChannel 5, Alex moved to Los Angeles in 2014 and got her start in entertainment journalism as a reporter and producer for BlackTree Media, one of the longest-running creators of online urban entertainment content. Alex served as the original host of BlackTree on TV, the outlet's inaugural primetime entertainment show reaching millions in markets including Chicago and NYC. Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Alex believes in Midwest manners, good BBQ, and Cardinals baseball. She attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, ranked as one of the Top 15 colleges in the country. Alex graduated with a bachelor's degree in "Media & Society," a program that she designed herself in order to pursue more in-depth coursework in human behavior, media, and business. While in college she perfected her multitasking skills by performing as a 4-year SEC cheerleader, serving as a founding Vice President of the Zeta Tau Alpha chapter at Vandy, and working as a peer mentor.
