Lee graduated from the Bournemouth & Poole Film & Television department. He has worked in broadcast radio and television. He is an indie film-maker, writing and directing feature films. Lee worked for Anne Wood at Ragdoll TV Productions as a Trainee Writer-Director, where he worked on popular shows such as Brum and Tots TV. His first screenplay, Trolley Boy, was short-listed for the BBC's Popcorn slot. While represented by London agent Micheline Steinberg, Lee wrote for children's television, including episodes of Sooty and Bob the Builder. He has written and directed four feature length films: Neville Rumble, Frettin', Wasted and Sam and Dan Get Lost. In 2017 Midlands Movies, in their review, gave Neville Rumble a 10 out of 10 score, saying it was the best feature film of 2017 in the region. Lee was subsequently awarded the Midlands Movies Best Director 2017 for Neville Rumble (his first feature) and Frettin' (his second). Neville Rumble (feature film) has been released in the US by Ytinifni. Frettin' (feature film) has been released internationally (non-exclusively) by Renderyard. It has been awarded six laurels on the festival circuit. Wasted (feature film) has been released by Random Media. It has won numerous festival laurels.
