Position: Linebacker, #59 Weight/Height: 235 lbs, 6'0" Birthday: 6/10/92 Alma Mater: University of Iowa Hometown: Lorain, OH The Dallas Cowboys selected Anthony Hitchens in the fourth round (119th overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft, adding a versatile linebacker to a talented group. Hitchens stepped in as a rookie and played in all 16 games with 11 starts as the injury bug hit the linebacking corps. Hitchens showed his value and versatility as he played all three linebacker spots at various times through the season. He finished his rookie year with 100 tackles - third on the team - making him the first rookie with a 100-tackle season since Roy Williams (2002). He played in all 16 games with nine starts again as a valuable reserve at all three spots in 2015 and finished fourth with 85 tackles. Hitchens took the role as the club's starting middle linebacker in 2016 and finished third on the defense with a career-high 104 tackles, with four for losses and 1.5 sacks.
