Hailing from a remote village from Jammu & Kashmir (India), Sanjay Amar (born 18 February 1979) is an Indian film director, producer, and screenwriter based in Mumbai. Amar's close association with the creative field of filmmaking ranges from documentary films, animation, TV production, and finally plunging to feature films. He started his career with a series of documentary films on victims of militancy in Kashmir entitled " Halaat ke Shikaar" as writer, producer & director. The series aired on Doordarshan (Public Service Broadcaster founded by Govt. of India). In 2009, Sanjay Amar worked for Arabic Broadcast Content, a Dubai-based studio for its animation film titled, " BO Mamo" and finally debuted as a filmmaker with a live-action feature film titled "Future to Bright Hai Ji" in 2012. In 2014, he founded his production company, Amar Chand Motion Pictures, and turned producer with the film "Identity Card... Ek lifeline". In 2016, Amar joined hands with Sehgal Media to make the content-driven cinema.
