Lydia Jane Sarks is an Australian actor, presenter and voiceover artist. She grew up on a farm outside of a coastal town in northern New South Wales, Australia. Her father is in Agriculture and Tourism and her mother was a Visual Arts and Photography teacher. She attended boarding school at Pymble Ladies College in Sydney, Australia. A dedicated ballerina for most of her life, Lydia hung up her pointe shoes after a series of serious knee injuries and focused on her other penchant; acting. She has worked widely in television, film and radio. She is best known on Australian television as the national face of Toyota. Lydia plays their bright and helpful receptionist, Zoe. Additional television credits include Season 1 and 2 of Channel 10's Wonderland (2013). For the ABC, she has worked on The Hungry Beast and First Tuesday Book Club. She features in a worldwide advertising campaign for SONY. She regularly works as an actor for Opera Australia and stays busy writing, producing and featuring in many short films for film festivals around the globe. Lydia has an AMEB Associate Diploma in Drama and Performance, a BA Communications: Theatre/Media from Charles Sturt University and is studying French at the University of New South Wales. She is also a qualified Pilates teacher. Lydia is a proud member of the Media, Entertainment and Arts Alliance and Actors Equity.
