Laura Henry

Laura is a creative professional specialising in Motion Graphic Design, Directing, Editing, Illustration & Photography. Laura Directs, animates & edits music videos, adverts, promos, intros, documentaries & infographic content. [2006] BA Hons Graphic Media Design/Moving Image, LCC, University Arts London [2006 - 2009] Laura started her career in the animation field producing pieces that have been screened at the ICA, Ginglik and numerous venues around the UK including work made collaboratively with onedotzero and the V&A museum which continued to tour internationally. She has produced film and live visuals for recording artists and events such as Pendulum and Glastonbury Festival. Noisettes, Billy Bragg, Joss Stone, Hard-Fi to name a few. Laura toured with Human League's Martin Ware and the Future of Sound, as Director of Documentation, live vision mixing and editing shows. She directed documentation crews on the large scale performances 'Freeze- B' in Paris and MPT - Movement Poise Thrill (Dance/Mass freeze event) on the London Southbank, part of the Hide & Seek Festival. Laura has directed, produced, edited & collaboratively animated music videos for critically acclaimed up and coming artists. Most recently directing, animating & editing Celebrate - Manou premiering on MTV July '15 [2013]'See Saw' Short film. which went to Cannes Short Film Corner and was showcased ahead of a feature film. It has so far been received by several international festivals. [2012] 'Dog Day' Short film. Officially selected to be part of the Women's Independent Film Festival in West Hollywood. Earning it's first set of Laurels. It also won an 'Award of Merit' which only 12 out of the 40 short films selected, achieved. Dog Day was also selected by Brighton Film Festival: Cinecity and was selected for LatestTV [2009 - present] Directing intros, animations, and film for numerous and diverse clients, including a suite of education documentaries about Cadbury's, Cafe Direct, Walkers, BA, and many more. [2015] Laura is filming a documentary in India with a focus on empowering women & in development of her first feature film.
