Nina Bisgaard

Nina Bisgaard is a Producer (Border, Winner Cannes - Un Certain Regard 2018) and Head of International Financing at the two closely combined companies Meta Film and SAM Productions that combined specializes in local and international film and TV series. Nina has worked at Meta Film since 2011 and at SAM Production since 2015. Meta Film is feature film production company based in the middle of Copenhagen. It was founded in 2010. Since then, Meta Film Stockholm and Meta Film London was founded. Nina is an exec producer on Meta Film Londons first feature film The Wife for which Glenn Close received an Oscar nomination. SAM Production is a screenwriter-based TV-series production company. Meta Louise Foldager Sørensen (The Wife, A Royal Affair, Melancholia) Søren Sveistrup (The Killing), Adam Price (Borgen) and Studiocanal founded Sam Productions in 2014. Nina has studied Film & Media Science at Copenhagen University, Art History in Lyon and holds a BA in Nordic Literature. She never wrote her final thesis though as she got in internship at Meta Film and never found her way back to university. She is an EAVE 2016 graduate and participant of the INSIDE PICTURES 2017 program. Nina has participated with film and TV series in the leading festivals including Cannes, Berlin, Telluride, Toronto, New York, Series Mania and lately won numerous prizes for the film Border by director Ali Abbasi.
