Anthony Sturmas is quickly becoming Hollywood's newest and most talented storyboard artist. Sturmas was born in Torrance, California in 1969 to HIlda and Vytautas, both of whom were talented artists. Sturmas spent most of his younger years as a graffiti artist. Sturmas was offered a full scholarship to The Kubert School, located in Dover, New Jersey, and turned it down. At that time, Sturmas was more focused on painting murals and freehand art. It was also at this time he gained some interest in storytelling and comics in Los Angeles. In 2006, after teaching a pilot program at USC, Sturmas received his BFS in MultiMedia Animation from the Art Institute in Los Angeles, CA. He also won a scholarship to the prestigious Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. It was during his schooling here that Sturmas was formally trained by Marc Stricland. Since His schooling Sturmas has gained mentors such as Bill Recinos, storyboard artist for "Ghostbuster" 1984 and Douglas Kirk, creative director for DreamWorks. Some of Sturmas' most notable past projects have been "Boy Boy West Coast", a music video that he Directed and Storyboarded in 2020 and "Z Dead End" where he was the senior Storyboard artist. Sturmas' most recent projects include storyboarding a UNAGI commercial starring Iggy Pop and directed by Daniel Benhamo and storyboard artist for "Inhabitant", a film loosely based off of the events of Lizzy Borden, directed by Jerren Lauder. Sturmas is currently one of two lead storyboard artists for GMR marketing located in New Berlin, Wisconsin.
