Gomes Garcia born (Helder Fernando Teixeira Gomes) is an actor/comedian born in Portugal, Madeira and raised in London. Gomes started to develop an interest in acting at an early age, a pivotal point came when he played Dr. Frank-N-Furter - A Scientist in his primary school's production of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. From that time he associated acting with fun and fulfillment, and later on as his career choice. Gomes went on to study acting at Westminster Kingsway College in London for 2 years in 2009. In 2011 Gomes went on to do an acting and auditions course at the highly credited GSA Drama School on a scholarship which he obtained from "The Push" a acting workshop run by Actress Sian Martin. Following that course he decided not to go into further education, but to go straight in to working as an actor. Gomes started to find casting calls online and attending auditions, his first big role was playing a gang member "Billy" in a short film called "Incandescent Noise" by Pola Pictures. The auditions kept coming and so did the parts, Gomes went on to be involved in a numerous amount of short films, as well as Ident's for channel 4, Fashion Film's with River Island and commercials with Pioneer DJ. In December 2011, Gomes embarked on his stand up comedy career after many years of debating whether it was for him. His first show was at "The Sunday Show" which is one London's leading weekly urban entertainment showcase's. Immediately grasping the passion with stand up he carried on gigging in many of London's Urban entertainment showcase's and ever since and has been nominated for best comer at the UGJ Urban Comedy Awards 2013. Gomes found a way to put his passion for acting and comedy together through an online comedy sketch show called "Always Hype TV" which he co created with his long time friend and actor Nathan Thompson. They have produced over 35 videos consisting of sketches, voice overs, parody music video's, and interviews. The company has a strong fan base, with over 100,000+ thousand views in the first few months of launching and over 2,000+ subscribers. It has also began to receive praise and interest in the urban entertainment scene. With this success Gomes went on to be represented by Val at New Faces Talent Ltd, where he plans to increase/develop his profile and take his acting career to the next level.Look out for his latest project were he plays "Chini" in Fredi Kruga's new film "If Only" it premiers at the Baftas this October 2012.
