In the early 1970s he earned a coveted guest appearance on the TV show Hee Haw. At the time he was a very influential morning man, programmer, consultant, content provider, owner of several trademarks including "Country Music Bingo" which he sold around the world and was once banned in one major city because government workers were paying more attention to the radio than their jobs. Bill had a radio history that spanned more than 55 years, working at stations throughout the United States before moving to Globe, Ariz. in the mid-1980s and starting KQSS. He invested heavily in people and in the local community. He was the owner of popular radio stations in Gila County Arizona. And he was very funny.
