In August of 2020, he directed the short thriller Super/Man, which was the #1 Short Thriller Screenplay on Coverfly's The Red List for the month of September. His short film Dreamer, which he directed in 2018, premiered at the 2019 Outfest Fusion Film Festival in Los Angeles, and won the Best Breakout Film Award at the 2019 Sunscreen Film Festival. The feature film screenplay of Dreamer, based on Marcos's experience growing up a gay, undocumented immigrant in Hollywood, Florida, was selected as a 2020 Cinestory Feature Fellowship Finalist, and a 2018 Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences Nicholl Fellowship in Screenwriting Semi-Finalist. The feature film version of Dreamer is being produced by Bob Teitel and Jay Marcus of State Street Pictures, and is represented by the sales agency ICM Partners. The first in his family to become an American citizen, Marcos graduated from Grinnell College on a full scholarship, and received his Master of Fine Arts degree in Film from The American Film Institute Conservatory, where he studied as a Producing Fellow, Technicolor Grant Fellow, and Gary Winick Scholar.
