Christopher A Wright

Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Christopher Artis Wright grew up with a passion for TV and cinema - so much so that he would attempt just about every feat he saw on the screen. He would invent action games with his childhood friends and cousins, mimicking what they saw in cartoons and movies such as G.I. Joe, Ghostbusters, and Star Wars. He'd beg his mom for all the toys and figurines from his favorite shows, earning him the nickname, "Toy Boy." As he grew older, Christopher's imagination grew stronger, and he coveted a journey of wonder and adventure. However, acting was not immediately on his radar. In college, he majored in business management. While he was physically present during this chapter in his life, mentally he was envisioning himself as someone else on some wild quest into the unknown. He did take a mythology class that piqued his interest: in particular, he remembers being inspired by the book, The Hero with a Thousand Faces, by Joseph Campbell. Christopher was intrigued with the stories of the hero's journey - it thematically reminded him of his all-time favorite movie franchise: Star Wars. Christopher's hunger for adventure eventually led him to join the U.S. Navy, where he saw places he never dreamed of visiting. Still, he felt a void in his life. Between deployments, Christopher would spend most of his time in movie theaters, immersing himself in feature after feature. He finally realized that he could be in those films - be the characters he admired, go the places he wanted to go. As soon as Christopher finished his time in the military, he enrolled in film school. Three years later, he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Digital Film, & Video Production. Since then, Christopher has been navigating multiple sectors of the film industry: production, writing, and - most prominently - acting. He continues to build his filmography through various genres, popular Netflix series Mindhunter season 2. Christopher remains based in Atlanta, GA, though he is intent to go wherever his passion takes him. ~
