Tim Prottey-Jones is a multi faceted musician, vocalist, composer and producer. Tim was a finalist in the hit ITV show, 'Superstar' where Andrew Lloyd Webber sought to find his Jesus Christ Superstar for a UK Arena Tour. As a writer, Tim will never shy away from pop sensibilities or the commercial elements that make songs memorable with hook laden, catchy choruses. This led to song placements through Sony Europe and Warner Music Nashville. With a number of albums, EP's and various singles under his belt, Tim has a proven record of being able to write industry standard tracks in a number of styles, including: Rock, Pop, Country, Dance and Musical Theatre. The albums 'More with every line' and 'Surrounded by the Sounds' both consist of original material from two new pieces of musical theatre sung by the best voices that Broadway and London's West End have to offer. As a musician and vocalist, Tim has shared stages with artists as diverse as Lost Prophets, Mel C, Tim Minchin, Chris Moyles, The Libertines, Paul Young, Ruthie Henshall and Albert Lee. Tim has proven to be a valuable asset in live and studio settings with his versatility and musicality, topped off with his ability to perform professionally as a vocalist, drummer, guitarist, pianist and bassist. Most recently, Tim has been making a name for himself as a vocalist with a unique tone and range that is able to adapt to a number of diverse projects. Straight On Red are a "Frankenfunk" band that feature Tim's vocals and their self titled album released in July, 2012 with a new album due out in 2013. After writing and producing a lot of music that showcased the vocal talents of musical theatre's glitterati, the time came for Tim to give in to the requests of his supporters to write and perform new tracks for his own voice.
