Luisa Tascone (MEAA) is an actor and singer from Melbourne Australia, trained in the Meisner technique and contemporary and classical singing. She is a graduate of the Full-Time Conservatory Program from the world-renowned acting school The Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre in NYC. During her time at the Playhouse she trained in all disciplines of performance, working with many distinguished faculty members including Ron Stetson, Gary Kingston, Todd Susman (MASH, Orange Is The New Black), Andrea DelGiudice (Founder and Director of New York Opera Collaborative), Christine Dakin (protégé to Martha Graham) and Sandy Faison (original Broadway casts of Annie and Is There Life After High School?). In addition to this, she has trained with well-known Australian actors Kevin Harrington (Neighbours, The Dish) and Shane Conner (Prisoner, Wolf Creek 2) at the Melbourne Acting Academy. She also has had extensive private training in musical theatre voice, classical voice and the Alexander technique. Luisa's credits include Donna in 'Ourselves Alone', Wendla Bergman in 'Spring Awakening' (nominated for Best Production at the Lyrebird Awards), Claire Standish in the stage adaptation of 'The Breakfast Club' (nominated for Best Drama Production by the Victorian Drama League), Julia Sullivan in 'The Wedding Singer' and Felicia Gabriel in 'The Witches of Eastwick'. Other key credits include lead actor in the short films 'Through Fault', 'Blue Belt' and 'Acid Spiders' (nominated for several awards at the Buffalo Screams Horror Film Festival) and featured actor in Flat Whites (three-time award winning web series at LA Web Fest for Outstanding Achievement). Luisa has also performed Off-Broadway in the premiere musical production of 'Oceanborn' (part of the Rave Theatre Festival produced by multi-award winning Broadway Producer Ken Davenport), as a solo vocalist at the Melbourne Athenaeum Theatre and with Normie Rowe. In addition to this, she has performed in several other musical theatre productions with multi-award winning companies and appeared in commercials for some of Australia's highest-ranking businesses including Fox Footy, Medibank, Monash University and Chemist Warehouse. During her career, Luisa has received two commendations from the Music Theatre Guild of Victoria for her roles as Julia Sullivan in The Wedding Singer and Belle in Beauty and the Beast. Most recently, she co-founded a new Melbourne production company Mi Casa Theatre (@micasa_theatre) and will be performing in their first production 'Tales from the Vault' at the newly renovated Collingwood Yards in July 2021.
