Gil R. Hinojosa

Founder and Chief Executive Director at Hidalgo Academy of Arts and Cinematographic Sciences Inc. www.cinehidalgo.org Filmmaker and multidisciplinary artist, graduated from Universidad de Cine AMCI, with specialty in scriptwriting and direction. His thesis project "Never enough" was filmed in 16mm and premiered in 2008 at Cineteca Nacional. He started he's professional career participating in different areas and phases of audiovisual productions such as: feature films, short films, promotional and institutional videos, and video clips. In 2011 he founded and directed Pachuca Short Film Festival, event that, in 2013, started receiving international participation and grows in 2018 as "Hidalgo Fim Fest" Hidalgo International Film Festiva, VII edition. His first video clip as a director, in 2013, is for Melissa y Sebastián with the song "Mamma María", produced by Azteca Music, reaching more than 2,050,000 visualizations. Speaker at Aula Magna in Centro Nacional de las Artes with the talk "Cinematography as a way of life" during Stop Motion MX 2016. Jury at 20º Tour de Cine Francés for La Palmita Award in 2016. "Watchmaker" is his first documentary short fim, produced at National Network of Audiovisual Poles from IMCINE 2017. Its premier at Cinemex receives recognition from the municipal government of Pachuca. Official selection of festivals such as "Viva Festival" (Bosnia y Herzegovina), "Caribbean Film Festival & Market" (Bahamas), "Cinetekton!" (Puebla, México) y "FICMA" (CDMX, México). Actor at the play "The Retrograde Case" and the TV Series "Chronicles, stories that make history" for Univision. He has given lessons at various universities and Taller de Cine Joven. He's Currently a professor at La Salle Pachuca University.
