Al (Ali) Pour Issa is an award-winning storyteller that has expertise in various professions such as (film and theater) directing, producing, screenwriting, script development management, and dramaturgy. He has been teaching at New York Film Academy. He has traveled extensively in the world and worked in many countries in North America, Europe, Asia, and Middle East. He has received many awards in film such as the Special Mention Award at I Will Tell International Film Festival (London, UK) for "The Ground Is Breathing," the Best Film Award in the Gender Category at Woodpecker International Film Festival (WIFF), (New Delhi, India) for "The Ground Is Breathing," Lenzing Award at the 43rd Festival of Nations (Lenzing, Austria) for "Bahar (Spring)," Gold Award for the film production and Special Award for Remarkable Directing at the Walser International Film Festival (Salzburg, Austria) for "Bahar (Spring)," Diploma at the 41st Festival of Nations (Lenzing, Austria) for "Cold Ground," to name but a few. He graduated from the Yale School of Drama at Yale University with an MFA in Dramaturgy and Dramatic Criticism in 2011. Also, he received an M.A. in Dramatic Literature and a B.A. in Scenic Design.
