Joseph Michael Teixeira, performing as Joe Tex, was born on June 20th, 1972 inn Mineola, on Long Island, NY. He is best known for his work on stage performing and producing live improvisational comedy. A former US Marine and Operation Desert Storm veteran, Joe Tex began acting in college at Daytona Beach Community College in DeLand Florida and later joined the Improv training ground Theatre Strike Force at The University of Florida in Gainesville. Joe Tex was a founding member of ACII Comedy and later moved to Chicago to pursue a career in acting. Tex was cast in Chicago's production of Tony 'N Tina's Wedding and played various roles. Joe Tex moved back to his native New York and was cast in Long Islands longest running improv comedy show Friday Night Face Off. In 2009 Tex was named Principle and Director of Operations for the newly formed comedy production company Face Off Unlimited. Joe Tex co-created and performed in FOU's Japanese Game Show BATSU! (NYC/Chicago), can be seen regularly at colleges and festivals around the country performing in the critically acclaimed long form improvised show, A Whole 'Nother Level, and other various shows and events produced by Face Off Unlimited. Joe Tex co-founded and was an on-air radio personality on the comedy podcast turned radio show In The Room with FOU partners Jay Painter, Eric Robinson, and radio personality and FOU company member Lyle Pinder.
