John Montague is an entrepreneur based in Minneapolis, MN, that has moonlighted as a screenwriter and filmmaker throughout his business career. In 1995, his first script, The Long Drive, was optioned by Academy Award-winner Jack Lemmon and his company Jalem Productions. In 2001, Academy Award-winner Ben Kingsley and his company Bipolar Productions optioned Montague's script, A Guy Called Michael Egan, which is now in-development at Origin Entertainment. He's producing and directing his latest screenplay, Way of the Warriors, that was completed in 2019 and is currently in-development with producers Michael Tadross Jr. and Arnold Rifkin. Montague is the instructor of a popular FilmNorth workshop titled "The Art and Science of Screenwriting." As a teen model and actor, Montague was featured in national print and television advertising for brands including The Gap, Ocean Pacific, Sega, Sony, Target, Nike, Quiksilver and Nature Valley. Montague is related to legendary filmmaker Roger Corman, known as the "Pope of Pop Cinema" and a trailblazer in the world of independent film. He's also related Robert Vaughn, the actor best known for his role as Napoleon Solo in The Man from U.N.C.L.E. TV series.
