Derek Michaels

Derek Michael Metallo was born in Southern New Jersey to parents Michael Metallo and Linda Metallo. Always a "performer" Derek didn't start acting until he was 20 years old, when his father convinced him to avoid a career in law enforcement and pursue something in the entertainment industry. Derek has been working hard ever since, with little parts in Men In Black III and Boardwalk Empire. After studying at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles, Derek has found himself residing in sunny California. Homes on both coasts, allows Derek to travel between NYC and LA. While in Los Angeles, Derek works with both Playground of Dreams and Young-Story Tellers Foundation as a mentor for regional teens.
